On a cool windy day at Glendale Golf Course, the young Skyline Eagles overcame the tough conditions to win by 9 strokes. Skyline took first with a 348, Olympus second with a 357, East third with a 393, and Murray fourth with a 405. Highland fifth with a 409, Brighton sixth with a 423, Cottonwood seventh with a 440, and Hillcrest eighth with a 476. Skyline was led by the fabulous freshmen trio of Ashley Lam, Tegan Halloran, and Avery Kraatz. Ashley shot a 4 over 76 with 2 birdies, Tegan shot an 88 with 1 birdie, Gwen Poelman shot a 90, and Avery Kraatz shot a 94. Claire Keller and Laurel Iorg also shot under 100, Avery Neville and Kelsie Kruckenberg also contributed to the victory. A gutty performance in tough windy conditions for the tough minded Eagles; they showed grit, mental toughness and good steady leadership. Hopefully these qualities lead to more victories moving forward.
